We are working with a major oil & gas operator to source an analytics applications specialist. This is a long-term contract role.

Details

Start date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)
Location: Qatar Onshore
Working schedule: 6 days per week / 10 hours per day

Experience required

Key job accountabilities

• Create and manage databases, establish data warehouses, and perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and be proficient in automation tools.
• Develop web, IT, and SharePoint-based applications to support data management.
• Gather business requirements from end-users and design effective solutions.
• Collect data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files, etc.), transform raw data into meaningful insights using dashboard development tools like Power BI.
• Design and develop interactive reports and dashboards with visually appealing visualizations to convey actionable insights.
• Build and maintain data models within Power BI and other related tools and optimize data structures for efficient querying and reporting.
• Write DAX formulas to create custom calculations and measures and implement complex business logic using DAX.
• Create compelling visualizations (charts, graphs, maps, etc.) to present data effectively and ensure data visualizations align with business requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power Apps (both Canvas and Model-Driven), and create Power Automate flows to integrate with other Microsoft services and potentially third-party applications.
• Be proficient in utilizing Oracle's Primavera P6 software for project planning, scheduling, and management.

Minimum requirements

Qualifications

• Bacheloru2019s degree in computer science, information management, business, accounting, commercial, marketing, engineering, project management, supply chain management, law, communication, technologies, mathematics, or statistics.

Knowledge and key skills

• 8 yearsu2019 experience as a Power BI developer/dashboard designer or similar role, preferably within the oil & gas construction industry.
• 5 years in SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
• Experience in Oracle's Primavera P6.
