Ancillary Works Engineering Lead

Job description / Role

The responsibilities of the Ancillary Works Engineering Lead is to assist the Construction Manager by managing a team of on-site engineers and inspectors for all aspects of safety, and quality under a tight construction program schedule. His main role is to assure that all safety, quality, design, technical standards, progress reporting and procedures are adhered during the construction process.
 
Under the Construction Manager supervision, he will be responsible for the following:
* Assure that all aspects of safety are monitored & non-conformances corrected.
* Preparing presentations and reports as needed.
* Provide technical support and construction assurance.
* Assure that quality & progress are effectively monitored, tracked and reported throughout the program period.
* Interact with all internal Stakeholders in addition to external Stakeholders (MMUP, Ashghal, Various Utilities, Civil Defense, etc.) 
* Attend meetings as needed.
* Review and provide comments on contractor's document submittal like Method Statement.
* Monitor the progress of work based on Master/Detailed Programme.
* Highlight to the Construction Manager, if any critical issues arise in site.

Requirements

* Engineering degree or comparable Technical Bachelor's degree, preferably with a bias towards construction, structures & geotechnics
* Minimum 15 years of experience in large-scale Infrastructure Projects
* Minimum 5 years of similar experience
* Strong Communication (written and oral) skills
* Computer Proficiency (MS Excel, MS Word and Power Point)
* Auto Cad is desired
