Application Specialist – Qatar

CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client is a major organisation in Qatar. They are urgently seeking an Application Specialist to join their team in Doha.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing technical support for existing applications, resolving issues, improving performance, and ensuring scalability and reliability
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date application documentation, including user manuals, guides and technical specifications
• Assisting in the design, development, testing, and implementation of new software applications to meet business needs
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, developing test cases, and ensuring solutions fit
• Developing business cases, proposals, and technical specifications to support application development and implementation
• Integrating applications with existing systems, ensuring a seamless data exchange and compatibility
• Developing and delivering training programmes for end-users, ensuring effective adoption and utilisation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar subject
• 7 years’ minimum experience in software development, analysis, and implementation
• Certified in Agile (e.g. Scrum Master), Certified Associate in Software Engineering (CASE), and/or formally trained in programming languages (Java, Python)
• Strong experience of programming languages (Java, Python), software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), and data analysis and visualisation
• Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
• Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be preferred.

Salary:
QAR 15000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
