Job description / Role
A new opportunity has come up for a large FMCG company. They are currently looking for an Area Sales Manager to be based in Qatar who will manage the distribution and sales activities of the business in Qatar and Bahrain.
Other responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Maintaining and increasing sales of the company's products
- Reaching the targets and goals set for the covered area
- Establishing, maintaining and expanding your customer base
- Managing relationship with distributors
- Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
- Setting sales targets for individual reps and your team as a whole
- Recruiting and training sales staff
- Developing sales strategies and setting targets
- Monitoring your team's performance and motivating them to reach targets
- Compiling and analysing sales figures
- Keeping up to date with products and competitors
Requirements
- Bachelor or university degree holder
- Have at least 5 years of experience in the same role
- Have strong knowledge of Qatar and Bahrain market
- Have experience in managing distributors
- Have strong sales background
- Fluent in English and knowledge in another language is a plus
