Assistant Credit Controller

Job description / Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Jaidah Group and Automotive Division.

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Credit Controller to join our team.

As Assistant Credit Controller you will be assisting the Credit Controller in many tasks, included but not limited to allocations, bounced checks follow up, filing and archiving finance related documentation.

Main duties and responsibilities:
- Follow up for the due payments with the customers either through phone or email and ensuring to collect the payment details to prepare for a proper allocation.
- Highlight overdue customers to recommend action to be taken.
- Communicate with other departments and divisions with the customer requirements to facilitate the payment flow from the customer.
- Receive allocations for payment from the customer on a timely basis.
- Assist and handle the insurance companies accounts allocation
- Quarterly balance confirmation letters to be submitted to customer.
- Follow up for the bounced checks with the customers.
- Reconcile customers' accounts on monthly basis and resolve any invoicing or discount issues to avoid late payment.
- Ad-hoc reports when requested.
- Undertake additional related responsibilities as required.

Requirements

- Degree in Accountancy/Business
- Solid experience with collection processes, and accounting systems
- Knowledge in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Ability to influence & persuade
- Collaborative skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent initiative.
- Ability to communicate and work with all levels of management including Fluent in written & spoken English and Arabic (an advantage).
- Microsoft Office – must be proficient in Excel with good working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
