Job description / Role
To provide support and lead where required in the development and management of the R&C investment portfolio by working on specific companies and investments as directed/allocated including working on the evaluation of new opportunities.
Post-acquisition, to actively work with the relevant team members to support reporting, performance monitoring and risk assessment and provide investment analysis and recommendations in order to ensure that well informed decisions that maximize portfolio value and returns are supplied to the Head of Retail & Consumer in line with the companys strategy and guidelines.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Investment Evaluation and Recommendations
- Undertake fundamental sector/industry and company level analysis and valuation for assigned asset or companies
- Provide input to the Head of R&C in the review of overall investment strategy.
- Conduct detailed evaluation and due diligence of investment opportunities, especially in analysis and financial modelling.
- Support team in negotiation and structuring of opportunities which the company decides to pursue.
Follow-up & Due Diligence
- Identifying key risks and opportunities related to companies in the portfolio and potential new investments. Assist with due diligence and follow up matters as required.
Business Planning Support
- Provide reports and analysis to the R&C team in preparation of detailed business plans in relation to new investments.
Portfolio Management and performance reporting
- Act as a knowledgeable portfolio resource for specific companies under coverage including recommending appropriate actions to be taken by the company to manage positions.
- Monitor operational and financial performance of assigned investments and assist Associates with preparation of reports on the portfolio’s performance by entity, geography and asset segment.
- Conduct detailed analysis and monitor KPIs and ad hoc targets as requested.
- Provide recommendation to the R&C team for the development of options for optimizing value of individual investments e.g., restructuring, additional funding, M&A or divestment, etc.
- Help to prepare board memos detailing such recommendations in conjunction with the R&C team.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management or equivalent.
- MBA and/or CFA would be a plus.
Minimum Experience
- 3-6 years (or equivalent) of professional experience in world leading Investment Houses and similar investment and/or advisory institutions as well as sector expertise in the specific industry sectors is a plus.
Job-Specific Skills
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative and conceptual skills, preferably including Excel modelling
- Strong commercial and investment acumen
- Broad understanding of relevant asset classes
