We are now seeking an exceptional Associate Urban Planner to join our award winning team based in Qatar.

This critical role will be responsible for managing projects and directing the work of more junior Urban Planners and Designers on master planning and urban developments.

Responsibilities

Paramount to success within these varied roles will include:

* Providing leadership and mentorship to staff.
* Leading, organizing and directing teams of more junior staff in the execution of assigned projects.
* Managing teams preparing conceptual, preliminary and detailed urban designs, site layouts and supporting materials (reports, maps, drawings) for master planning and urban development projects.
* Prepare development control regulations, urban design guidelines, and other related planning and urban design standards for master planning and urban development projects.
* Preparing urban designs that respond to existing regulatory requirements and guidelines for master planning and urban development projects.
* Coordinating with other internal disciplines and manage the activities of outside sub-consultants in the execution of assigned projects.
* Demonstrating a highly refined understanding of the underlying spatial arrangements that give form and character to urban areas via the interrelationship between built and open spaces.
* Demonstrating a detailed understanding of the production techniques, procedures, and standards related to urban planning and design projects.

Requirements

Qualifications

* To be successful in these dynamic opportunities, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 10 years career experience of working on large-scale landscape strategies with a Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture.
* Professional certification or chartered status would be highly regarded.
