Job description / Role
• The AV Engineer provides professional solutions and value-added audio-visual systems to clients.
• Designs, installs, tests and maintains AV systems/projects.
• He coordinates with the Senior AV Engineer to plan for the activities of the technical team.
• He is also responsible for the technical training of the clients.
• Create professional, cost-effective solutions per Client audio-visual request requirements.
• Manage Client Communications during design process
• Make client site visits as required for design requests.
• Manage technical meetings regarding potential projects.
• Using basic and detailed engineering methods, design complete audio-visual systems including cabling, equipment and technical systems, testing as needed.
• Coordinate audio-visual projects, including public address systems, projection units and displays, video walls, control systems, telepresence, tele- and videoconferencing, VA/PA systems, SMATV, home automation and Boardroom solutions.
• Manage communications with engineers and sales on solutions provided and expectation set with clients, ensuring proper protection of confidential information
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during installations, provides pre-sales technical information and post-sales support.
• Recommend upgrades or system improvements on maintained networks as required
• Communicate with vendors and stay current with the latest audio visual technologies
• Support implementation team as required depending upon project scope
• Assist team in development of written procedures for operations and maintenance of systems
Requirements
• BS Engineering or Electronics Engineering or related fields
• Two to three year work experience within a similar position.
• Certificate in Infocom CTS and or other AV Training / Education certificates
