Audit Lead (Database Expert)

Job description / Role

- Ensure the Designing and implementing of databases based meet the organization needs, including choosing appropriate database management systems, designing schema and establishing data models.
- Ensure database performance, reliability and security by monitoring and analyzing database systems
- Analyze scope of optimization of databases, instances and database servers
- Implement and Manage database backup and recovery procedures.
- Develop, analyze and Implement data migration requirements and strategies.
- Capabilities to analyze database systems can integrate well with other systems/applications.
- Implementing and maintaining database security by managing user access, permissions and roles.
- Programming skills to write predefines queries and scripts in appropriate programming languages in ERP
- Writing and executing predefines queries and scripts to query database transactions.
- Identify and Analyze the Audit Trails to identify any irregularities such as unauthorized transactions, incomplete or inaccurate data, or violations of policies and regulations.
- Test the internal controls that are in place to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the transactions.
- Verify that security settings in the databases are appropriate and that access to sensitive data is restricted to authorized personnel.
- Document the findings/observations including any discrepancies, exceptions, violations of policies/regulations etc.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar preferred.
- 7-10 years’ experience in SQL / Oracle / HANA / MySQL / Sybase etc.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of managing and operating different types of databases including SQL, Oracle, HANA, Sybase, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of databases, including architecture, features and functionality.
- Skills to analyze large volumes of data and identify irregularities, patters and anomalies in the data.

- Understanding of dimensional and relational data modeling
- Experience in SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Oracle Forms and Reports Development etc.
- Advanced knowledge of database security, performance standards, and backup and recovery
- Strong statistical and mathematical knowledge
- Experience in reviewing and analyzing Audit logs/trails and experience with tools like SQL Server Audit, Oracle Audit vault etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Data Security, Backup & Recovery, Standby/Failover Administration, Oracle RAC & ASM Administration/Installation.
