Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A government entity in Qatar, involved in one of the country's most exciting development, is looking to recruit an Audits and Inspection Specialist.

Key responsibilities:
• Support all workers’ welfare inspections and audits, as stipulated by the WW Standards
• Collate contractor, subcontractor and worker information on monthly basis
• Establish contact with Worker Welfare Officers and Project Worker Welfare Officers
• Carrying out worker interviews and inspections of workers’ accommodation, project work sites and recruitment / employment practices
• Assist with the planning of audit activities and resource allocation and ensure strict adherence to the plans
• Conduct follow up audits/inspections and ensure timely implementation of action plans
• Conduct quality reviews over the committee's Inspector’s submitted compliance reports
• Contribute / Coordinate with the third party to update the Workers’ Welfare Progress Report
• Ensure the committee's contractors are using the “Contractor Self-Audit checklist”, perform deep dive into the “Contractor Self-Audit checklist” and provide regular reports i.e. to Project Manager
• Ensure the committee’s contractors are using the “New Starter Checklist”
• Report irregularities and non-conformities to the committee management in relation to worker’s welfare i.e. to Project Manager or WW Compliance Manager
• Furnish memos on timely basis to external regulatory body (e.g. MOADLSA) or internal (e.g. to Legal Department) for enforcement actions against major non-compliances
• Assist the Head of the WW Unit in adherence to crisis management plans and procedures upon occurrence of serious incidents on site / accommodation facility
• Support the running of the committee's Audit Tool related to WW
• Prepare and furnish Contractor feedback reports, weekly/quarterly and monthly compliance reports
• Assist with the coordination of independent external monitor activities and ensure achievement of targets
• Provide suggested updates to the committee's WW standards based on changes in local regulations or audit limitations
• Assist with the monitoring / participation / overseeing of the Workers’ Welfare Forums as necessary
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor directly related or relevant to the job
• Ensure the assigned responsibilities are delivered:
• to a high standard of quality and timeliness
• in full compliance with the committee's Quality Policy and the Safety and Security rules and requirements
• in line with any standards and objectives designated in the Employee Performance Management system

Requirements

4-5 years experience in workers' safety and inspections
Experience in planning and execution of audits
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong teamwork, with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels of management.
Competent in the full suite of MS Office programs (Excel, MS Project, Word , PPT)
