• Bachelors degree in education with qualified teacher status
• 2 years teaching experience in autism specialty instruction
• Outstanding instructional skills in maths, reading and science
• Ability to differentiate based on each student’s strengths and needs
• A passion and commitment to education for students with wide ranging learning needs and challenges
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to relate to student concerns
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate
• Ability to form positive and effective relationships

Preferred:

• Postgraduate qualification in special education or related field
• International experience in education
• Willingness to make a long-term commitment
• A good sense of humour and a positive outlook
• An interest in understanding the culture and values of Qatar and incorporating them into our work in the school
• Enthusiasm and energy
• Experience coaching adults in educational strategies

Job description:

Qatar Foundation is recruiting for an Autism Specialist Teacher. The role will commence on 1st April 2025.

Renad Academy opened in 2016, specifically designed for children with autism within the State of Qatar. Currently, programs to support students with autism in Qatar are limited and cannot meet current needs. Renad is a school where children receive an appropriate and individualized education, using international evidence-based best practices.

Our provided services include annual assessments and evaluations to determine strengths and needs, social skills training through our extensive Community Based Instruction programs, speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, training for parents and collaboration with the community. In 2025 Renad were proud to achieve the National Autism Society (NAS) Accreditation International Award.

With the school growing, we are now in need of a teacher specialising in autism to teach in a classroom of 6-10 children in our primary school.
