BIM Manager (Highways)

CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client is an international consultancy operating on a wide variety of construction and engineering projects. They are currently seeking a BIM Manager specializing in Civil Engineering and infrastructure works to join their large highway construction project in Qatar. This will be on a 12-month, renewable contract.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establishing the BIM strategy in accordance with company standards and project requirements
• Managing all design delivery activities and implementation, including: schematic concepts, detailed engineering and the contract documentation
• Operating and implementing futuristic engineering design modelling and research strategies
• Implementing the BIM execution plans and BIM authoring for the Structural BIM services for multiple projects
• Developing your BIM team by identifying the latest trends in the market and upgrading the company’s capabilities
• Formulating and monitoring the quality management strategy for BIM projects
• Training team members, where necessary, in BIM software such as Autodesk, Revit, Navisoft, etc.

Requirements

CLIENT STIPULATED REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or higher in Computing/Architecture, with certifications in BIM software an added plus
• Minimum of 15 years’ working experience with strong technical knowledge in BIM modelling and working with 3D/4D/5D technologies for large scale highway projects
• A history of working for design companies or PMCs within the construction industry
• Candidates will need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, with strong analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills
