Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A top tier international consultancy with a strong global presence has an immediate opportunity for a BIM Manager to join their team in Doha. Providing leadership and mentoring to technician teams across the buildings sector, with responsibility for overseeing the delivery of multiple projects to the highest of international standards, on time and within budget.

Your role will encompass but not be limited to

• Plan, execute and manage the ongoing implementation of BIM within all disciplines in the Buildings sector
• Liaise with Team Leaders, to ensure projects are resourced effectively and efficiently and appropriate CAD & BIM related technology, standards and processes are being implemented
• Develop, review and maintain the suite of BIM guidelines including BIM standards, implementation plans and quality control procedures
• Lead and attend BIM meetings
• Create templates, families and automation of software
• Identify relevant staff training requirements and implement cost effective training across the buildings sector
• Manage Standards across your portfolio to ensure high standards of presentation
• Provide first level technical advice to Project Managers and technician teams
• Carry out ongoing briefings on BIM standards and best practices

Requirements

• To be considered for this role you should have a background in MEP, structures and architecture with 15+ years’ experience including 2+ years’ in BIM management.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to effectively manage teams of BIM/CAD Technicians, is essential.
• The successful individual will have sound technical skills with the ability to produce BIM models and CAD outputs to budget as well as demonstrable experience of mentoring and training technicians in the delivery of projects using BIM.
