Boat Captain

Job description / Role

• Responsible for the safe operation of their vessel.
• Must maintain all on - board equipment, including machinery, engines, and safety equipment with regular inspection.
• Ensuring all equipment (including fishing equipment) on - board are in perfect working condition and the boat is well - maintained and clean.
• Steer and operate vessels, using radios, depth finders, radars, lights, buoys, or lighthouses.
• Fishing experience required.
• Knowledge of all types of fishing (trolling / Jigging)
• Knowledge of fishing equipment required.
• Knowledge of fishing preparation required.
• Dock or undock vessels, sometimes maneuvering through narrow spaces, such as locks.
• Maintain records of daily activities, personnel reports, ship positions and movements, ports of call, weather and sea conditions, pollution control efforts, or cargo or passenger status.
• Towing boats / Pull Out Boats from water / Maintain boat trailer.
• Boat cleaning interior and exterior and removing barnacles underwater.

Requirements

• University Qualifications: Diploma or Graduate
• Nature and length of previous experience: 3-5 Years experience in a similar role.
• Specialist knowledge: Yacht captain
• Age Range: 21-50
• Gender Preference: Male
• Nationality Preference: Any
• Language Fluency: English
• Current Location: Anywhere
