Employment: Full Time

Objectives:

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for analyzing and providing determined operational data to support timely business decisions. The incumbent will detect issues and analyze trends in order to anticipate impact to business strategy and overall retail operations. Will be responsible for implementing initiatives and projects and generate reports for Management

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for retrieving, analyzing, and concisely reporting market business trend data
• Conduct financial analysis of division brands, analyze sales reports, and make recommendations to address gaps
• Evaluate business key performance indicators and provide regular reports and information to Management to address risk areas and opportunities
• Determines areas of operational and strategic vulnerabilities and identifies areas opportunities for strategic direction
• Provide analytical and data support for business development and new initiatives through regular and ad-hoc business intelligence assessments
• Develop dashboards, scorecards and metrics to quickly capture and present data to the appropriate stakeholders including Operations Managers, Supply Chain, Marketing and General Manager
• Conduct SWOT analysis including market and competitors
• Create competitive price indexes and competitive assessments as a basis for business strategy and plans
• Provide data and analyse inventory levels, slow moving items, discounting and promotion activity
• Efficiently monitor and report on business performance and communicate to Management on progress of key strategic initiatives
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of customer behavior, consumer trends, and effectiveness of initiatives
• Provide recommendations to assist with sale planning and pricing
• Conduct regular benchmarking and present concise competitor information to Management
• Prepare reports and presentations for marketing, operations, and Management to enable sound and quick business decisions
• Ensures integration with other business reporting to provide actionable information to support division initiatives
• Use all FT reports & Landscape to analyze the consumer needs and come up with offerings that suit their needs
• Present data to minimize loss, increase profit and conduct shrink analysis, and track product movement
• Build ad-hoc reports for review for various departments and management
• Present data in clear and meaningful fashion, stay up to date on data visualization trends and theory
• Support data-driven decisions to maintain competitive position in the marketplace by using various data sources and tools
• Interpret complex data relative to business needs and translate them in simple accessible terms for use in operational plans

Reporting to: General Manager

Requirements

University Qualifications: University degree in Business Administration or similar field

Nature and length of previous experience: 4-6 years of relevant experience in a similar role

Language Fluency: English fluency is essential for this role, Arabic would be an advantage
