Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Liaising with existing suppliers and placing seasonal orders
- Negotiating prices, quantities, delivery timelines, and other terms
- Monitoring market changes, competitor prices and product lines
- Analysing past sales patterns to anticipate trends in consumer buying patterns
- Analysing sales & stock and taking rational decisions to effectively manage P&L targets
- Responsible for overall Sales by store, Gross Margin and Inventory Turns
- Updating and Managing OTB deployed by business unit, broken down by product selection, to ensure point of sales are filled commercially and the brand image well maintained.
- Responsible for ensuring proper stock levels, pricing and mark downs execution.
- Ensure agreement with store managers during/after pre-buying sessions on a store by store basis and alignment on stock to sales ratios per category as well as by color, and size breakdown.
- Working closely with Visual Merchandisers, Store Mangers and Sales associates.
- Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products.
- Responsible for the look out for new brand acquisitions

Requirements

- Takes authority for decisions made within the store in compliance with company policy and procedures
- Assigns work to merchandising team to ensure the store reflects brand guidelines.
- Directs activities and ensures implementation of policies and procedures.
- Travel can be a regular feature of the job including overseas to trade fairs and events during the buying season.
