We are looking for a CAD Manager to work across our Utilities Division CAD team.

Fast growing UTILITIES SECTION has an immediate opening for a CAD Manager/Designer. This role requires someone who is able to work in a high intensity atmosphere with a positive and entrepreneurial approach and attitude.

Our work includes wet utilities (foul sewer , surface water and tse with pumping stations)

This position shall lead the CAD group using AutoCAD, Revit and MicroStation software to prepare 2D and 3D construction drawings from redline sketches, 2D/3D layouts, existing drawings and electronic images.

Drawing details include all views and dimensions necessary for clear and accurate presentation. He/she will apply knowledge of design practices and interact with engineers to solve design issues.

The role of CAD Manager is anticipated to be only a portion of overall day to day roles and responsibilities. The person in this position may also be assigned as a CAD Lead on a project or may be assigned as a CAD / Designer on a project.

CAD Manager
• Responsibilities:
• Defining and maintaining CAD standards for the company
• Coordinate weekly CAD needs with Project Managers / CAD Staff
• Manage CAD Software licenses and updates as well as CAD training
• Coordination with Contractors during pre-construction project phase
• QA/QC of CAD work performed by CAD staff
• Bring CAD resource calendars to staff meeting and coordinate
• requirements for the week (including staff assignments)

CAD LEAD
• Responsibilities Set up of complete drawing list (MEP/Civil drawing set)
• Working with other CAD staff on backgrounds / redline drafting
• Effcient and accurate drafting with adherence to CAD standards
• QA/QC of work by CAD staff assigned to project
• Coordinate Drawing Files and electronic transmittals with Clients
• Electronic Project File Management
• Project Design (within skill set and direction of Project Manager or
• Electrical/Mechanical Engineer)
• Personal Continuing Education

Requirements

• Associates of Applied Science in Drafting or Computer Aided Drafting and civil enginerring Design
• AutoCAD/AutoCAD MEP/Revit drafting skill required
• Knowledge of drafting techniques and familiarity with MEP engineering terminology
• Experience with site/building verifcation of existing conditions
• Effective time management
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
