Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Description

- Gathers information and feedback from customers, principals and ground handling agents at the airport on market practices and operational procedures and relays to the supervisor for review and implementation as required.
- Identifies needs and improvement opportunities and provides information to the supervisor in order to facilitate improvement or change.
- Accepts cargo shipments from customers, weighs & labels the goods and prepares the necessary airway bill.
- Books the cargo as per customer requirements and prepares shipments for dispatch to the airport.
- Track shipments and follows up on delayed/ missing shipments.
- Solves basic problems with regard to cargo bookings, within the set guidelines and sales policy.
- Limited involvement in strategic planning.

- Minimum High school diploma
- Minimum 2 years experience in air cargo industry with knowledge of acceptance procedures for dangerous goods & live animals.
- Computer skills (MS office, internet, email etc.)
- Analytical skills
- Communication skills - good oral & written skills in English a must and Arabic a plus
