Job Description
To utilize education and experience in the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of the physical plant, structure, utility services, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings for the hotel facility and associated buildings
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures the application and the execution of the preventive maintenance programs.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the workplace and complies with both personal and environmental safety protocol.
- Should be able to manage the stock level
- Should have proper control and monitoring of the tools, equipment and materials to complete the job in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operate all type of woodworking equipment like Table saw, Radical saw, Planer, Jointer Drill etc.
- Check and repair metal and timber window, Door and Minor roof repairs.
- Construct framework into which concrete is poured.
- Examines the wood surface for defects, such as nicks, cracks, or blisters.
- Install door handles, locks, hardware, flooring underlay, insulating material and other fixtures.
- Ability to carry out deck and blind/curtain repair and any furniture repair
- You will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other related duties as assigned by the management. The hotel reserves the right to update, revise or change this job description and related duties at any time.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related building environment
- 2 plus years of Building Carpentry experience
- Highly skilled in all aspects of finish carpentry, i.e. crown molding, wood base and trim work
- Ability to access high areas using a ladder
- Vocational/technical training or apprenticeship
- High school diploma.
- Trade school or apprenticeship in carpentry and/or construction.
- Work Authorization in the U.S.
Physical requirements:
- Extended periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs, crouching/kneeling, bending and twisting
- Carrying/lifting up to 50lbs
- Repetitive motion
- Talking/communicating/listening
