Job description / Role
• Must have knowledge of quality standards, be experienced in the collection of data on construction projects, the calculation of performance measures and preparation of the construction phase projects
• Assume responsibility and represent Design Department for all aspects related to highway engineering
• Provide leadership in all relevant departmental functions
• Lead external & international coordination
• Review, comment, recommend acceptance or otherwise of related consultant’s submissions
• Initiating new work and preparation of design briefs to Consultants
• Provision of technical advise
Requirements
• BSc / BEng or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering or Material Engineering/ Engineering Geologist from an institute of repute
• CEng, PE, PEng or equivalent Chartership with The Institute of Materials, Mineral and Mining (IOM3) is a must
• Minimum demonstrable experience of 4 years as a Chartered Engineer
• 15 years of demonstrable relevant experience in design, construction and quality control of major highway projects and in developing and improving quality systems related to the construction of major projects
