Job description / Role
We are currently working in partnership with one of the leading real estate development companies in Qatar. The company which is a subsidiary of a much larger Middle Eastern conglomerate, focuses primarily on the development and management of high-end designs and options within residential, retail and commercial capacities. As Chief Accountant, you will support the CFO and will responsible for the day to day finance and accounts operations.
Working towards IFRS principles, you will be responsible for the timely closing of accounts which will include performing cost forecasting and budgeting, cost-tracking and the monthly consolidation of financial statements, payments and cash-flow reporting. You will be part of a team and will work closely with the operations and project teams in analysing margins and variances and creating reports and graphs in Excel and you will ensure that all cost allocations are in line with management agreements and policies. This role will require you to work cross-functionally with the respective departments in reducing costs and establishing and maintaining the systems in order to warn of cost over-runs.

per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have had experience working in a large real estate or property company. Candidates with experience from the Big 4 auditing firms will be favored as a preference and it is also essential that you possess an accountancy qualification of CIMA, CPA or equivalent. You must have absolute proficiency in spoken and written English language skills with an exceptional eye for detail and strong work ethic.
