Chief Accountant

This position is responsible for assisting the Finance Controller in the preparation of the company's financial reports, which include balance sheets and income statements. They also assist in compliance audits and monitoring internal controls to ensure that everyone does their job correctly.

What you will be doing:

- Ensure that Finance teams are providing month-end closing and all other required management reports
- Work with the Director of Finance to provide full and accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals
- Prepare capital reviews as required by the Director of Finance
- Develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures and continually review the process and procedures to maximise impact and efficiency
- Ensure the balance sheets are a fair reflection of the assets and liabilities.
- Lead monthly finance update meetings with Director of Finance
- Comply with water park/company policies and procedures across the area, maximising performance on the Finance Balanced Scorecard
- Review the balance sheets, ensure reconciliations are performed
- Assist Heads of the Department to improve their financial awareness and provide them with relevant financial information for their operations

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Relevant experience as chief accountant or similar is an asset
- Graduation in Finance or degree in vocational hospitality
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
