Job description / Role

Sit on the board of directors and provide legal counsel from a group level. Implement policies and governance and devise effective defence strategies for existing and future disputes. Have the ear of the Chairman and links to the royal family

Client Details

Qatari based parent company for a group of 30 companies. Mixed portfolio of businesses in Construction & Real Estate, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, and General Trading

Description

* Participate in the formulation of general management policy as a member of the executive management team.
* Manage a team of corporate counsel and other members of the legal department.
* Advise the executives and employees on changes to the laws affecting the company.
* Oversee lawsuits, possibly acting as chief litigator.
* Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company's full legal rights.

Requirements

* LLB/JD/LLM qualified with 10 years post qualifying experience
* Knowledge of both international and local (GCC) laws
* Diversified industry experience (ideally coming from a family group or holding company)
