Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Being part of Project Management team, monitor and report project progress and provide centralized reporting. Work closely with key stakeholders (internal & external) to ensure that the scope and implementation of each project is on schedule. Ensure that all projects deliver the agreed outcome to DNO&M/Ashghal. Establish good Project Management practices, targeted interventions on high value/high risk projects and remove blockers to progress of pre-flight and current projects.

• Analyse, evaluate and forecast the current project status against the baseline schedule, assessing the impacts of design or construction changes to the schedule in consultation with concerned engineers/stakeholders
• Develop targeted project intervention plans focusing on regular and timely delivery of value
• Ensure that all project objectives are met within budget. Propose recovery plans, and update the schedule and budget accordingly
• Provide support to DNO&M finance function in forecasting DNO&M’s annual budget
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure consistency and appropriate governance is applied across the programme/project portfolio
• Proactively communicates and collaborates with external and internal stakeholders to analyse information needs and functional requirements
• Produce and communicate accurate reports and project outcomes to all stakeholders
• Practice Project management, communication and problem solving skills to resolve issues and remove blockers to project progress
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Policy and Procedures and comply with any new work instructions

Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (e.g. BSc; BEng or CEng or equivalent)
• Internationally recognized project management qualification
• Holder of current/valid Qatar Driving Licence

Knowledge & Experience

• Knowledge of Project Management and managing complex/multi contractor design projects
• Knowledge to advanced level of Microsoft Project, Primavera and P6
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in engineering design and project management
• Minimum of 3 years in water/wastewater industry
• Persistent and driven to ensure project needs are met
• Ability to support strategic changes
• Ability to influence and engage stakeholders and staff at all levels within the organisation
