The opportunity

Project: This is a mixed-use project in the heart of Qatar.

We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking senior project manager to join our established and growing team in Qatar.

The role involves management of civil engineering projects during planning, design and construction. This will include supervision of subcontractors, attendance at project progress meetings and monitoring of compliance with applicable codes and standards.

The role will require candidates to work effectively in client facing environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing from detailed design phase through delivery to handover. Managing the project planning and execution of all civil construction works on the site.
• Facilitating internal and external communication to clearly define a project's scope, milestones, updates, delays, deliverables and escalate issues appropriately.
• Directing and coordinating activities of the project to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Promoting safety and assisting with the implementation of all applicable HSE programmes, policies and procedures.
• Reviewing project proposal or plan to fully understand the scope of the work and contract to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project under general supervision.
• Consulting and advising project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties and responsibilities.
• Reviewing status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
• Monitoring the planning, development, implementation, construction and testing activities and reports on any issues, delays, changes, or concerns to management. Preparing and/or reviewing project reports for management, client and others.
• Coordinating project activities with government regulatory and other agencies.
• Completing the estimation work as necessary.
• Reviewing bid requirements and making follow-up ensuring all information is acquired during bid day.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

About you

With a relevant degree qualification, you will take personal development seriously and be chartered with APM or other recognised institutions.

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and provide support to strong, motivated teams. You must have experience of programme or project management equating quality and value with the individual client and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
