Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Must have experience with the following job description:
• Support all commercial matters and issues in relation to project progress control and monitoring yet examine and asses reported commercial issues such as procurement, general tender and contract management and post contract matters. All at corporate level.
• Support, build and recommend procurement strategies and contract economics for future programs.
• Support the PPP unit.
• Support TO contracts such as BIM and constructing excellence.
• Support studying and reviewing commercial issues referred to TO by President and other Departments, where applicable. 6. 6. Support Vendor Management Unit (VMU) and assist in supply chain and procurement strategies
• Support Reporting Team with commercial and contractual reviews and input on program/ project performance
• Performs other duties as assigned by upper line of authority within the scope of his qualifications.

Others/ Skills:
• Fluency in English languages both written and spoken. Arabic knowledge is preferred
• Knowledge of design and construction management on buildings and civil infrastructure projects including utilities interface and coordination management.
• Particular experience of dealing with cash flow management, planning, budgeting, payments, earned value, change management, vendor and supply chain management.
• Experience and skills in developing and managing Procurement Strategies and Contract Management.
• 20 years post graduate relevant experience
• BSc - Engineering in related skill subject
• Chartered Engineer

Requirements

Essential:
• Strategically expanding, preserving or improving procedures and standards.
• Resolving contractual and commercial problems.
• Overseeing financial key performance indicators (KPIs) of a project.
• Offering financial direction and instruction to the project team, ensuring they understand key aspects of the contract.
• Reporting on financial performance to the project manager and other senior staff members.
• Assessing risk.
• Managing and mentoring the quantity surveying team.

Skills:
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent client liaison and people management skills.
• Good negotiating skills.
• Extensive understanding of the construction industry.
• Good analytical, financial and numeracy skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Sound knowledge of contracts and the legal framework.
• Good leadership skills.

Required:
