Commissioning lead (electrical) u2013 onshore energy project

We are hiring a commissioning lead (electrical) to manage pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for a major onshore energy project. This role is predominantly site-based, with a strong focus on electrical systems, sub-station commissioning, and coordination with EPC contractors and vendors.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning expertise across assigned areas.
• Lead safe execution of commissioning scope in accordance with project deliverables and schedule.
• Handle EPC contractors, vendors, and subcontractors in sub-stations and field execution.
• Troubleshoot electrical/control systems issues during site acceptance tests (SAT), loop tests, function tests, and energization.
• Support development and review of commissioning procedures, check sheets, and method statements.
• Ensure proper systemization and completions database setup.
• Coordinate with operations and other disciplines to ensure alignment and readiness for startup.
• Ensure safe execution in SIMOPS and brownfield areas, adhering to project protocols.
• Ensure full compliance with company safety, health, environment, and quality policies, regulations, and standards.

Requirements:

• Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering or applied sciences (mandatory).
• Minimum 8 yearsu2019 commissioning experience in oil & gas, energy, or LNG projects.
• Experience in supervisory roles and managing EPC contractors.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, transformers, switchboards, UPS, and control systems.
• Experience in sub-station commissioning and brownfield tie-ins.
• Familiarity with completions software (e.g., WinPCS, ICAPS).
• Experience in SIMOPS environments and shutdown activities.
