Construction Lawyer 6-7PQE (Doha)

My client, an international law firm, is looking for a construction lawyer with 6-7 years PQE to join their top-ranked engineering and construction team as a Senior Associate in Doha.

Their top-ranked engineering and construction team works on building, engineering, utilities, transportation, infrastructure and real estate development projects, and associated dispute resolution. They offer a full range of construction law advice, from procurement planning, contract negotiation and drafting through to strategic advice during construction, claims settlement and beyond. Their lawyers are recognised for their track record in successfully resolving complex domestic and cross-border construction disputes. They provide swift advice that is commercially sound, based on deep experience and industry know-how, with a view to reaching efficient and effective solutions.

Services include advising on labour agreements, construction insurance policies, performance bonds and parent company guarantees, and representations in connection with regulatory matters affecting the design, development and construction process.

The team acts for clients across the whole sector active in the Middle East, including developers, government agencies, contractors, oil and gas multinationals, consulting firms and project lenders.

Requirements

Please only apply if you meet ALL of the mandatory criteria below.

Mandatory

- Near native-level English, written and spoken
- 6-7 yrs PQE
- Western qualified, primarily from common law jurisdictions
- Construction – contentious experience
- Experience with International Arbitration

Preferred (but not essential)

- Ideally already Doha-based, but will consider relocation for the right candidate
- GCC experience
- Arabic
