Job description / Role
My client are a Qatar based contractor, as part of their long term growth strategy and due to recent project wins, they are urgently looking for an experienced Construction Manager in Qatar with extensive experience of structural steel and infrastructure. They are looking to offer a fantastic package for the right candidate. The individual must be able to lead a team and handle the project from the ground up.
Requirements
The successful candidate MUST have previous experience within similar role and projects.
Roles and Responsibilities (But not limited to):
* Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
* Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
* Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
* Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
* Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
* Meet contractual conditions of performance
* Review the work progress on daily basis
* Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
* Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
* Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
* Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
* Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
* Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
* Competent in conflict and crisis management
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree would be preferable
* Experience in structural steel
* Excellent time and project management skills
* Understanding of all facets of the construction process
* Familiarity with construction management software packages
* Attention to detail & in depth knowledge of construction process & methodology
