Qualifications:

Degree or diploma in instrumentation, electrical, or electronics engineering from a recognized university.

Certified in HSE, QA/QC, and construction-related standards.

Strong skills in construction management, communication, and conflict resolution.

Familiarity with construction industry best practices, systems, and standards.

Experience:

Minimum 15 years of E&I experience in construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning within oil & gas and large-scale solar projects.

Proven supervisory experience in similar roles.

Extensive exposure to multinational contractors and large-scale solar (PV) projects.

Strong technical background in:

Instrumentation & control systems

PLCs, SCADA, sensors, transmitters, controllers

Ability to interpret:

Engineering drawings

P&IDs

Method statements

Construction schedules

Primary duties & responsibilities:

Supervise contractors during construction activities.

Review design drawings, method statements, and material requisitions.

Coordinate contractor mobilization and demobilization.

Approve and oversee construction activities including inspections and documentation.

Conduct daily site checks to ensure compliance with specifications.

Manage electrical/instrument construction activities including:

Site investigations and surveys

Earthing works

Cable tray installation

Fire alarm system cable laying and termination

Instrument control & power cable laying and termination

Fiber optic cable installation and splicing

Installation of fire alarm control panels, repeater panels, mimic panels

Installation of control junction boxes and panels

Coordinate with mechanical, HVAC, fire alarm, loss prevention, and building services teams.

Perform cable termination and loop checking.

Lead pre-commissioning and assist in commissioning activities.

Initiate and manage MCC, HOC, AC, and project completion certificates.

Witness SAT pre-commissioning activities.

Maintain daily progress records and report anomalies or deviations.

Sign work permits and ensure contractor compliance.

Support development of as-built documentation.

Prepare punch lists and conduct quality checks, especially for ELV equipment.

Collaborate closely with other discipline supervisors (mechanical/electrical).
