Job description / Role
Contract Administrator (Construction) – Qatar
Linum Consult’s client is a major contractor operating across the globe on a variety of construction and engineering projects. They are currently seeking a Contract Administrator to join their team out of their Qatar office on a 6-month contract.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Administering contracts of high value subcontracts on a daily basis
• Negotiating the final accounts and variations
• Assisting with the defence of subcontractor claims for delays
• Prosecuting and substantiating back-charges
• Procuring close-out packages, tendering, drafting subcontracts and work orders
• Inputting the monthly Cost Value Reporting (CVR)
Requirements
• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Engineering
• Minimum of 15 years’ working experience in contracts administration for main contractors within the construction industry
• Recent experience of working on prestigious mixed-use developments or high-end building projects within the GCC
• Familiar with FIDIC terms of contract, with strong computer skills
• Candidates will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an independent and tactful work ethic
• Willing to work on a 6-month contract basis on single status
FINANCIAL PACKAGE
Our client is willing to offer a maximum of QAR 35,000, which will include basic salary, accommodation, and local transport costs.
