Contracts/Claims Manager - Roads/Highways - Doha, Qatar

Our client is one of the leading construction consultancies with strong Global presence, specializing in large scale infrastructure projects. They have an urgent requirement for Chartered Contracts/Claims Manager to be based in Doha, Qatar.

Main responsibilities:
- Review, investigate and appraise claims and appraise complex claims for delays, accelerations, wrongful terminations and unforeseen site conditions
- Establish and maintain professional business relations with clients
- Lead a team in the analysis or preparation of a complex construction claims and manage the deliverables for the client
- Provide advice on how to how to minimize the costs of legitimate claims and optimising the financial result of the project
- Management of risk/claim assessments
- Provide negotiation and mediation support as expert witness if necessary
- Liaise with the client and contractors and advise on any contractual/legal matters

Requirements

- BSc in Quantity Surveying is essential
- Further educational qualification such as MRICS is essential
- 15-20 years of experience, of which at least 10 years within roads/highways projects
- Over 10 years large claims experience
- Must understand FIDIC contracts
