Contracts Engineer

Job description / Role

Overview
Provide proficient and effective administrative support to ensure the successful execution of the project.

Specific Responsibilities
• Provide contractual support and guidance;
• Experience of Design and Build Contracts;
• Knowledge of construction, engineering, contracts and related work processes;
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
• Experience in reviewing Contractor’s Payment Applications (payment milestones) and preparation of Payment Certificates;
• Able to carry out Forecasting / Projection of Turnover, monthly, quarterly and annually, against planned programme of works;
• Experience in the preparation of Cost Reports, Commercial Progress Reports and Audit Reports;

Skills/Competencies
• Experience of working in Construction environment;
• Good understanding and interpretation of the Contract and ER requirements.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments;
• Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports with a special emphasis on excel skills;
• Ability to perform complex tasks;
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment

Requirements

Education/Degree: BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent
Years of experience: More than 5 with minimum 3 in a similar position

Other Requirements
• Fluent in written and spoken English;
• Good written and oral communications skills;
• Computer Proficiency (MS Excel, MS Word and Power Point);
• Solid problem solving skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
