Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Contracts Engineer to join our team based in Doha, Qatar.

This position is responsible for managing contracts specifically for Building and Pumping Station or Reservoir projects ensuring project success through effective contract management and negotiation.

We envisage success in this role to include;
- Conducting thorough analysis of contracts and resolve disputes based on FIDIC Contract Procedures.
- Preparing comprehensive tender documentation, including terms and conditions, scope of work, and pricing templates.
- Managing the pre-qualification of contractors, issue invitations to tender, and prepare tender bulletins.
- Assisting end-user departments with tender clarifications, evaluate tenders, negotiate commercially with tenderers, and prepare award plan submissions.
- Preparing the annual Contracting Actions Plan and ensure audit compliance.
- Representing the Contracts Department in various tender and evaluation committees.
- Serving as a focal point to th e main Tender Board and Project Sub Tender Boards, overseeing the approval of Invitations to Tender, Contract Awards, and Contract Variation Orders.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and uphold business ethics on all contractual matters.
- Ensuring all commitments are documented promptly, and details are accurately entered in the system.
- Developing and prepare contracting strategies, policies, and philosophies, recommending best practices and objectives.
- Preparing contract documents that incorporate the effects of negotiations, clarifications, and qualifications.
- Providing advice to the Tender Board and end users on contractual and commercial aspects.
- Overseeing post-contract administration, including processing interim applications, re-measurement of work, evaluation of claims, variations, and settlement of final accounts.
- Coordinating with multi-discipline construction and commissioning teams.
- Liaising with Finance and Legal Departments to ensure that contract strategies, tenders, and contracts comply fully with Company Policies and Procedures.

Requirements:

- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a minimum of 10 years work experience in Contracts Management partnered with a Bachelor degree in relevant Engineering discipline.
- Prior experience with Kahramaa projects will be preferred.
