Contracts Manager - Roads/Highways

A large international engineering consultancy is looking to recruit Contracts Manager to be based in Doha, Qatar. Our client has a strong global presence and is involved in number of prestigious projects.

The main responsibilities will include:
- Supervise and manage performance of pre-post contract management of large infrastructure projects
- Manage pre and post contract procedures
- Identify any variations to contract that might impact the project and take necessary actions to ensure smooth running of the project
- Lead a team of contract administrators
- Liaise with project managers and advise on any contractual/legal matters
- Represent the organization to clients
- Communicate with clients to provide sufficient information on projects, such as progress and cost
- In case of variations in contract, seek agreement
- Manage procurement schedules
- Monitor job costs and progress against budget
- Select sub-contractors and ensure they receive enquiries and tender packages
- Ensure required quality standards are achieved at minimum cost by overseeing methods and outputs
- Ensure compliance with regulations and obtain client sign-off in case of any variations

Requirements

- Minimum of 10 years post graduate experience
- A bachelor’s degree in related field is essential
- Membership of a recognized International Professional Body e.g. MRICS.
- Previous experience in large infrastructure projects
- Experience in managing a team
- Experienced user of project management software
- Experience in international contracting mechanisms e.g. FIDIC.
- Fluency in English language
