Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose: Ensure the tactical and transactional contracting activities for acquisition of 3rd party services are performed in a fair and transparent manner and in compliance with policies and procedures and contribute to Supplier Performance Management agenda for the value added.

Job Responsibilities:
- Executes ‘front to end’ activities for contracting strategies of medium/low risk and value nature, including but not limited to Strategy Development, Pre-qualification exercise, preparation and issue of request for proposals and invitations to Tender, Tender clarifications and evaluation, negotiations, contract preparation and award, post-award administration and performance management processes.
- Selects the appropriate contract model and where necessary prepares the special terms and conditions contractual provisions to protect Company’s interest and mitigate exposure to various risk outside of the standard model contracts in consultation with Legal, Finance and other departments as necessary.
- Creates and manages SAP entries to ensure all commitments and expenditures are captured and tracked in the system.
- Provides support to the Contract Holder in preparing LTC submissions.
- Advises internal stakeholders on contracting on contracting strategies, contract forms, risk vs incentive and total cost based contractual arrangements and selection of appropriate remuneration methods.
- Interprets the contractual obligations and supports the Contract Holder in discussion related to contract variations, disputes or claims.
- Prioritizes the work included in the contracts plan and prepare a timeline for the complete sourcing process and agrees with the business users and executes accordingly.
- Supports implementation and facilitation of Supplier Performance Management Agenda.
- Prepares contracts summaries and status reports and ensures effective close out of contracts.
- Works with internal stakeholders to explore opportunities to maximize the value of money.

Requirements

- Degree in Business/ Commercial or equivalent.
- Associate membership in the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply or equivalent is desirable.
- 5+ years of experience in contracts work including preparation of tenders, evaluation, clarification, negotiation, formulating contract documents, administration of contracts, etc.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP/ Contract Management Systems.
- Negotiation Skills
- Contract Writing Skills.
