The country of Qatar continues to experience substantial construction growth with infrastructure budgets rising to over $90B for infrastructure and road projects by 2022. To support this growth, our client; the public works authority; has created several senior management Qatar National postings for urgent commencement. With long term prospects providing stability and career development, our employer is looking to recruit a Corporate Planning & Strategy Manager to their Corporate Services team. This position is in line with company direction to establish Quality and Business Process Management (BPM) functions that support its Strategy and commitment for Operational Excellence. This role is for Qatari Nationals only.

The areas of specialization we require include:
• Business Process Reengineering/Improvements (BPR/BPI)
• The EFQM Excellence Model “European Foundation for Quality Management”
• Strategic Planning

Your responsibilities in the role will include:
• Collaborates with the Manager, Service Excellence and Executive Leadership to design, implement and evaluate initiatives to deploy the Excellence model across the firm.
• Providing coaching and to all departments to develop and promote best practices.
• Conduct frequent organizational assessments to measure adoption of excellence practices throughout the firm.
• Develop assessment reports including strength points, areas for improvements and recommendations.
• Advise senior management on status and adoption of the excellence model.
• Laisse with external entities from both public, private and not for profit for benchmarking and adoption of best practices
• Lead deployment of stakeholder survey management function
• Lead development of corporate policies in coordination with related business units
• Lead process improvement initiatives across the firm in conjunction with external consultants.
• Present findings and recommendations with confidence and communicating these to sponsors and key stakeholders.
• Challenge stakeholders to maximize opportunities from process improvement initiatives.
• Promote and develop a continuous improvement culture across the business
• Champion the need and benefit by utilizing a structured approach to business process improvement.
• Identify improvement opportunities and manage improvement requests from the business
• Coach and support project team members in use of tools and methodologies
• Deliver process improvement training to staff, if required.
• Facilitate and provide specialist process improvement advice to business units via targeted workshops to identify and resolve specific issues that are critically impacting business outcomes and require urgent resolution.

Requirements

• Degree qualification in Commerce or comparable with Master’s Degree from a recognized institution being highly regarded.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in corporate and strategic planning with experience in Government being highly desirable.
• Problem solver with out of the box thinking.
• Ability to work across multi-functional teams to deliver quality on time and in a collaborative environment.
• English and Arabic language fluency is essential.
