Corrosion Engineer, Qatar

NES has an excellent opportunity for a corrosion engineer with its oil and gas client based in Qatar.

This role involves ensuring the integrity and safety of LNG facilities through corrosion monitoring, failure analysis, and protective system management.

Support testing of coatings and cathodic protection system for equipment and piping, including review of preliminary interpretation carried out by the assigned inspectors.

Support measurement of electrical resistant probes and corrosion coupons and maintain detailed records to establish trends and corrective action to reduce corrosion.

Lead the shutdown corrosion inspection planning and execution of corrosion inspection jobs during the shutdown.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in chemical, metallurgical, or material engineering with 4+ years in material selection, corrosion control, and monitoring in an oil and gas related facility.

Knowledge in chemical inhibition, corrosion monitoring, material selection, and degradation mechanisms is required.
