Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This position is responsible for reviewing, refining and implementing processes related to the maintenance and management of GU-Q’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This is a technical, hands on, position that will coordinate activities in areas such as data management, data clean-up, and data integrity.

As this position is based in Doha, Qatar and offers no relocation assistance, GU-Q is looking for locally based candidates only. This is a non-sponsored position that requires all applicants to already have the necessary sponsorship to live and work in Qatar.

Duties include:

- Interview stakeholders to understand how they use the CRM system and discuss related issues and challenges;
- Review and document reporting needs and various uses for the data/information stored in the CRM system;
- Manage cleanup of existing data in CRM system, including: removing duplicates and redundant data, correcting/updating contact details, and ensuring consistent naming conventions, character and number formats;
- Work with departments to ensure data is current and accurate;
- In collaboration with stakeholders, create business processes and workflows to manage data entry, data validation, mass emailing and prevention of duplicates;
- Identify different types or categories of contacts/accounts and establish parameters for organizing and managing these groups;
- Recommend process for reviewing and approving data before it is added to the system to ensure data integrity;
- Establish a plan and schedule for systematic back-up of data;
- Create standard reports on Salesforce based on user and/or departmental needs;
- Set up processes to upload data into Salesforce from: GU-Q website, course registration systems, and Banner application; make recommendations for automating processes where possible;
- Analyze common causes for data inaccuracy and make recommendations to reduce errors;
- Document best practices, SOPs and field descriptions;
- Serve as GU-Q representative and liaison for GU 360 project currently underway on the main campus and prepare GU-Q to migrate into the 360 version;
- Train technical and non-technical users on newly established processes and procedures;
- Other similar duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a relevant degree program such as computer science or information systems;
- 3 plus years’ experience as a data analyst, preferably for large multinational organization or university;
- Comprehensive understanding of a data analysis tools;
- Skilled in data manipulation, report writing, and techniques for data extraction;
- Knowledge of databases and data analysis techniques;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Accurate and strong attention to detail;
- Effective project management, documentation, and presentation skills.
