Education and experience requirements

Bachelor of science in any engineering field or equivalent.

Hydrocarbon and process safety experience is a must; instrument and electrical background to a certain level is required.

Industry experience: minimum 5 years as supervisor.

Mandatory certifications

T-BOSIET / H2S

Fitness to work certificate

Basic and advanced firefighting

Management of major emergencies

Offshore emergency response team leader

Advanced first aid

Preferred certifications and training

Incident free supervisor certification

Health and industrial hygiene

Industry golden rules

Basic cause tree analysis

Oil spill principles and management level 1

Electrical habilitation level 2

Gas and NORM test training

Technical knowledge

Proficient and well-versed in relevant technical skills.

Understand operational safety and ability to identify potential hazards (SimOps, pressure, lifting, etc.).

Thorough understanding and use of P&ID and C&E drawings, and isolation principles.

Basic understanding of instrumentation and control equipment principles, including fault diagnosis.

Knowledgeable in industry process safety guidelines and procedures.
