TRANSPORTATION

INTEGRATED SUPERVISION & COMMUNICATION (ICS)

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A DEPUTY PROJECT DIRECTOR TO JOIN THE THALES ICS TEAM IN DOHA, QATAR.

The Deputy Project director will be to provide support to the General Project Director of Lusail LRT project & to ensure the adequate delivery Operations management

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the delivery of the different phases of the project on time and according to contractual requirements and company processes.
• Support the GPM in delivering the key results and performance metrics of the project, including order intake, sales, gross margin and cash.
• Support the GPM in driving Quality, Cost & Delivery performance through closely working with other functions.
• To strategically manage client’s expectations and wishes with respect to what is achievable within Thales’ overall business.
• Ensure all business planning and reporting is published in accordance with Business directives
• Manage all project stakeholders; ensuring strong communications are established and maintained.
• Ensure that members of the project team are actively managing Risk and Opportunities, and have a robust Project Management Plan.
• Ensure data integrity of all project information including financials and schedule. Use the Oracle and Primavera toolset to hold all financial, schedule and resource information.
• Ensure all Project activities undertaken comply with the relevant Thales Chorus processes.
• Management of PMO team.

Requirements

• A proven track record of delivering successful projects in contexts relevant to Thales.
• Strong, professional project management skills.
• The ability to directly and successfully manage a project team.
• Working in a complex, multidisciplinary, multi-site organization.
• Extensive client and stakeholder management. Experience in project management in GCC countries.
• Comprehensive experience and knowledge of the project life cycle for complex projects through delivery of Development, Implementation, Closure and Support activity.
• Experience of working across boundaries, including knowledge of commercial management, best practice supply chain and finance functions.
