Job description / Role

Key Roles and Responsibilities [ but not limited too]:
• Educate patients on the right ways to achieve healthy, attractive skin.
• Examine skin to determine extent and nature of disease, taking skin biopsies and smears, subjecting them to laboratory diagnostic
• Treat every patient with respect and compassion and ensure compliance with current medical laws and ethics.
• Communicate with assistants and other team members to ensure therapies are being administered properly
• Diagnose and treat pigmented lesions such as common acquired nevi, congenital nevi, and other types of nevi .
• Conduct complete skin examinations.
• Counsel patients on topics such as the need for annual dermatologic screenings, sun protection, skin cancer awareness, or skin and lymph node self-examinations.
• Record patient past medical history for treatment plan.
• Diagnose and treat skin conditions such as acne, dandruff, athlete’s foot, moles, psoriasis, and skin cancer.
• Recommends non-surgical tropical treatment for surgery as appropriate.
• Perform incisional biopsies to diagnose melanoma.
• Operate skin laser technologies to eliminate body hairs
• Treat scars using laser and chemical dermabrasion.
• Assist in reconstructive surgery for patients requiring skin grafting procedures.
• Perform treatment of skin infections, surgically excising cysts, out growths and other cutaneous malignancies.
• Performs Aesthetic treatment such as but not limited to:- Injections of Neurotoxins and Dermal Fillers, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, Body Contouring and Treatment of Cellulite, Nutrition. Hair Transplant, Hair Reduction, Platelet Rich Plasma, Laser and Intense Pulsed Light IPL, Scar Management, Venous Treatment
• Refer patients with suspected melanoma cancer or tumorous skin growths to oncologists

Requirements

The incumbent should be and expert in Dermatology And Aesthetic treatments trained to treat diseases and conditions of the skin, on any part of the body and can treat anything from a fungus or bacterial infection of the skin, remove cancerous or unhealthy lesions from the skin.
• In addition to medical treatment of skin conditions, dermatologists may also do aesthetic, elective procedures to improve skin tone and decrease signs of aging.
• The candidate must possess 8+ years’ experience post-qualification.
• Age: 32 to 45 years old;
• Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved Dermatology/Aesthetic/Plastic surgery residency.
• Should have Current and valid board certification as a Specialist Dermatologist.
• Must have knowledge in the use of high technology devices and tools in diagnosing and treating skin disorders.
• Additional support qualifications from UK/ USA related to skin care treatment and techniques would be an added advantage. Membership in a dermatological association is an advantage.
• Ability to provide Client Service in English and Arabic is essential given the demographic of the place.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and people management skills
