Are you a British or Irish Design Engineer and interested to work for a Leading Buildings Contractor based in DOHA - Qatar.

Working within the pre construction team you will be working on Value Engineering , Buildability , Assessment of Structural Design, Methodology & Tender Submissions.

Projects ranging from £100-1 Billion so this should TICK the Major Project box your seeking.

If you are a British or Irish Design Engineer with exposure to Major Building Projects then read on. We have a Leading Qatari Contractor that is seeking to appoint a Design Engineer to work in the Head Office on Major Tender Submissions. Working within a team of 5-10 individuals you will help pull together submissions and solutions. The team are made up of European and Arabic Staff of the highest caliber.

This Design Engineer will be working within the tendering team to assess structural, VE and buildability matters on tenders, also providing periodic support for specific tasks on live projects.

• The work would involve the following key functions;
• Assessment of structural design from tender drawings & specifications
• Assessment of value engineering opportunities
• Temporary works solutions
• Liaising with design consultants
• Tender submission write ups for the design methodology sections
• Solid exposure to Buildings with more bias to structural elements within large complex buildings, not so much heavy civils.

Duties

Salary:
QAR 30,000 to 40,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Following is key for a successful application

• Degree Educated
• Solid experience in a Design Engineer capacity for Main Contractor or Consultants
• Good Communication skills
• Career history that shows solid experience within Design Engineering for a Major Consultancy or Contractor
• Must be IT Literate and up to date on latest software
