Job description / Role
The Design Manager will provide leadership and direction to the design team, construction and commissioning teams during planning, development and delivery of phases of the project.
Reporting to Project Director on a regular basis, defining engineering progress and quality of the packages.
The Design Manager will provide leadership and director to the design team, construction and commissioning teams during planning, development and delivery of phases of the project.
He or she will ensure that the design is managed in an efficient / effective manner providing completeness and construct-ability, with absolute priority for the delivery of the highest quality standard.
Requirements
* Minimum 20 years' career experience and successful track record of managing designs of mega projects.
* Previous work experience in the Middle East and large scale structural project experience essential.
* Experience of multi-discipline mega design projects in excess of QAR 1 billion
* Evidence of multi-discipline team management
* Sound managerial and technical skill set
* BSc degree qualified in Architecture / Engineering
* Chartered engineer / RIBA qualified (or equivalent)
