Director of Advertising

Job description / Role

CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client operates in the Middle East. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Director of Advertising specialising in Transit assets – notably Rail, Metro, or Airports – to join their team in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading and implementing the company’s strategy on transit-orientated advertisements
• Identifying and developing profitable new business with an advertisement portfolio
• Working closely with the internal investment and revenue team to develop long term strategies and Business plans
• Working closely with the teams on cross-media opportunities and other internal teams on marketing aspects
• Managing all phases of business development; identification, qualification, proposal and closing
• Reviewing, on a monthly basis, the operational performance against contractual and internal KPIs, especially cleanliness of assets, site presentation, illumination, digital quality, poster presentation, printing quality, etc.
• Managing the review of artwork to ensure that all advertisements are in line with the Company, Country, and Contractual stipulations.
• Managing the P&L of the entire advertisement revenue streams target.

Requirements

PROFILE

• Master’s Degree in Business Management, such as an MBA in Marketing or Strategy
• At least 15 years’ experience working for advertising/media companies
• Experience in high value assets, including Airport, Metro, Rail, etc.
• Demonstrable history of sales and marketing strategy development and implementation in advertisement projects
• Strong business acumen and excellent technical knowledge of current media and advertising trends
• Creative, with excellent networking, persuasion and negotiating skills
