Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a leading semi-government organisation who is looking to hire a Document Control Manager. This is a newly created role where you will respond to enquiries regarding access and retrieval of documents, maintain electronic documents to ensure security and compliance with regulatory and company policies.
You will be responsible for designing, documenting, implementing, maintaining and deploying implementations of the EDMS (electronic document management system) and the records management system. You will create, classify and maintain hard copy files and register in the records management system, archive onsite documents to the secondary storage facility and provide timely retrieval services to internal customers. You will also be responsible for the design and implementation on policies and procedures for the EDMS across the organisation and provide training to staff where necessary.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have at least 5-10 years’ experience in the same role and who has developed and implemented a new EDMS. Experience with SAP would be an advantage as they are implementing a new ERP system. Our client would prefer someone already based in Qatar and fluency in Arabic, written, spoken, reading and at translation level is a prerequisite.
