Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Collaborate with Asset Management and participate in identifying, developing and tracking improvements in Maximo EAMS functionality and associated business processes and workflows
• Receive, review and resolve day to day questions and issues that may arise from RO&M staff through the use of Maximo EAMS
• Provide support to RO&M staff in the Maximo software application, troubleshooting and end user training in use of Maximo EAMS
• Manage the preparation of data into standard EAMS upload templates and loading the data into EAMS, including Asset Data, PM Plans, Job Plans, Problem/Cause/Remedy Data
• Monitor EAMS data quality and identify user training needs
• Support the training of users on how to effectively use the EAMS system. Support the ad-hoc reporting out of EAMS
• Coordinate with the client ISD for planning and implementing software technology or system improvements and enhancements to Maximo EAMS
• Collaborate with the client ISD in supporting scheduled Maximo system maintenance and notify DO&M staff of planned and emergency maintenance of the system
• Represent DO&M Maximo users at systems improvement meetings
• Engage with regional IBM Maximo user groups to keep up to date with current Maximo system improvements and future functionality that may benefit DO&M
• Adhere to Health and Safety Policy and Procedures in the workplace and comply to any new work instructions

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or higher level qualification in Engineering in a relevant subject.
• Education qualification obtained from North America, West Europe, Australia
• Holder of Accreditation from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) or similar would be an advantage
• Current/valid Qatar Driving License would be an advantage
• Minimum of 8 years’ work experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of Maximo EAMS or equivalent system with regard to operation, system administration and training
• Practical experience in developing SQL scripts to extract data is essential
• Knowledge of asset hierarchy, asset types and related asset attributes
• Knowledge of asset management standards and best practice (e.g. PAS55, ISO55000), and closely associated systems to Maximo EAMS (e.g. GIS, CRMS, ERP) is desirable
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages and in particular Microsoft Excel 2010
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English is essential
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic is preferred
