Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Taylor Sterling is looking for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join a specialist commissioning firm who are currently involved in a mega building project in Qatar. The client offers a wide range of services including MEP Installation to Hands on Commissioning, Commissioning Management and Verification/Rectification. They operate across all business sectors including Retail, Healthcare and Education. Contact duration will initially be 6 months which may lead into a permanent role.

Practical hands on field experience required during all stages of Construction, Commissioning & Start Up and be able to communicate with team leaders of a multi-discipline team. Be a team player who can provide valuable input during both planning and execution phase.

Responsibilities:
- Assist Coordination and execution of the commissioning activities
- Assist Coordination liaison for all interfaces on site and with all integrity groups to ensure the project requirements and performance standards are achieved, including maintaining schedule and cost targets
- Understanding of electrical systems and performance testing requirements
- Input to the development of the detailed plan and planning systems including reporting of progress
- Attending Commissioning and inter Department meetings
- Support of the discipline commissioning engineers in achieving the commissioning scope
- Support Liaison with independent inspection authorities and demonstrate facilities as required to satisfy the project performance standards and legislative requirements
- Promote project safe working practices in line with the safety management systems
- Provide positive input in Planning and scheduling the correct resource levels

Requirements

- Any Degree level, preferably a Bachelor's degree in engineering
- At least 5 years' experience in the construction industry
- Must have extensive knowledge and experience of major Building electrical equipments
