Electrical Technician 4

- Maintain and repair DO&M Pumping Station equipment, systems and components as required in order to ensure equipment is operational at all times, providing a 24 hour service to the customer and is in compliance with safe operating practices and adherence to all Company procedures and policies.
- Undertake preventative and corrective maintenance as instructed by the Foreman – this may, or may not. involve working in confined spaces
- Carry out electrical/mechanical inspections on equipment, systems and components and recommend action required
- Identify parts and materials required and advise the Foreman and Engineer
- Ensure all work carried out is in compliance with specified standards and quality control policies and that it is recorded on the Service Request Form
- Attend Emergency breakdowns and take appropriate action as instructed/required
- Ensure that place of work and tools are kept clean, neat and tidy
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Policy and Procedures and comply with any new work instructions

Requirements

- High School Certificate
- Holder of relevant recognised trade certificate (e.g. electrician, mechanic)
- Certified and physically fit to enter and work in confined spaces preferred
- Minimum of 4 years’ operations and maintenance experience within Pumping Stations or relevant industry
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in two languages (e.g. English, Arabic, Hindi) preferred
- Holder of valid Qatar Driving Licence

Technical Knowledge:
- Knowledge of how to maintain electrical/mechanical equipment within Pumping Stations
- Physically fit to enter and work in confined spaces and the ability to undertake competency assessment to level required (essential)
