Job description / Role
• Familiarity with language assessment and providing constructive feedback;
• Familiarity with the structures and workings within the HE sectors;
• Excellent IT skills to support the integration of technologies into teaching and learning, including Microsoft Office, Moodle and other tools to support blended learning;
• EAP teaching experience in a UK HEI and EAP teaching experience in ESP
• Experience in curriculum development;
• Experience in web-based technologies for learning;
• Initiative and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of administrators, faculty, and students;
• Knowledge about accepted best practices in information technology;
• Well-developed working knowledge of PCs and the Windows' environment;
• Prior experience in the Middle East desirable but not compulsory.
Requirements
Education: Master’s Degree in English (Preferably TESOL/ Applied Linguistics or other relevant Area)
Experience: Minimum 4-5 Years teaching experience
• Applicants must be UK qualified teachers/lecturers with relevant teaching qualification (strong QTS applicants will be considered);
• RSA/ULCES DELTA (or equivalent), either completed or near completion;
• Proven record as an excellent educator;
• EAP background with teaching experience preferably on courses such as Foundation, Pre-master’s and Pre-sessional;
• Up to date knowledge of EAP & developments in this field;
